Riding Academy Policies and Procedures

  • Due to the volume of riders, the expense of maintaining a large pool of high caliber school horses, and IYD amenitise, our riding policy is as follows:
  • To discontinue taking lessons, 30 days notice is appreciated..
  • If you are going to miss more than one month of riding without explanation, your lesson slot will be given to another rider.
  • While riding is enjoyable it is also a difficult sport in which consistency is key, therefore our best students are the ones who ride on an ongoing basis, extended breaks are discouraged.
  • Lesson are grouped by riding ability or teams, we will try to accommodate you and your families other activities to the best of our ability.
  • How many students will be in the group depends on their riding level. Average group size is five or six riders.
  • You may watch lessons, but please do so quietly without interrupting the students or instructor, non-riders are not allowed in the arena during lessons.
  • MAKE-UP POLICY AND PROCEDURES- Scheduling make-up lessons are the rider’s responsibility. All make-ups need to be scheduled within the same month for which the rider has paid for them. Be proactive and plan ahead. Schedule your make-ups in advance whenever possible, lessons are offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday .
