Field Trips

In Your Dreams Farm provides and exciting and educational venue for school field trips! In the past we have hosted organizations such as Cherokee High School, community pre-schools and elementary schools. Boys & Girls Clubs, 4-H, FFA Big Brothers and Sisters, or any organization is invited to share the knowledge and expertise of or professional staff.

First Academy Pre-K arrive at the In Your Dreams Horse Farm. Mrs. Beth (in black outfit) prepares kids for the days activities.

Mrs. Beth first tries to find out what the children do know. Then she explains how horses think and how they like to be treated.

The kids watch as IYD's smallest horse, Toby, comes to greet them.

Mrs. Beth is sitting on Toby. She is showing how gentle and submissive a pony can be.

Approaching a pony is easier when the Toby was asked to lay down. The kids fear was eased.

Mrs. Beth explains how to approach a horse. Horses can not see their nose. They must trust the person before they let somebody touch them.

Lee gently approaches Replay and pets him.

Mrs. Beth explains how to act trustworthy. Lee is saying "hello" to the Replay, by blowing on his nose.
